Delicious food and fast service! The way real Chinese food should taste! Not mixed in with any other types of foods like other places! Try them you'll like them, we do!

My employees and I order here for lunch on occasions. We have never had any issues with order process or food. Unfortunately, today the food was HORRIBLE. Uneatable even. There was absolutely nothing special about the special fried rice, the chicken chow fun lacked flavor and the texture was mushy. Very disappointing.

I came to this place because I browsed through Yelp reviews. I was extremely disappointed with the service and the food. I ordered honey garlic chicken with vegetable rice and chicken wings with white rice. I placed a to go order. They put everything in bags tightly knotted for me to take home luckily I opened the bag and when I checked they put pork fried rice instead of white rice. We don't eat pork for religious purposes and therefore I was very upset so I told them that I wanted white rice and they put pork fried rice instead. They took my bag and said they would fix the problem but then again came back with two knots in my bag. So I thought it was discarded properly. When I get home they had put white rice, visually I saw white rice I started eating the chicken wings and saw some pork fried rice under my chicken wings. How disgusting! Apart from that the chicken wings has no flavor. I called this restaurant and told them how upset I was. They said I had to return it in order to get my money back with no chicken wings missing. I already had consumed like 3. Although I had other boxes of chicken wings with the pork fried rice they only responded to one of the boxes of chicken wings. The guy that helped me with my order said there was no manager. I HIGHLY doubt this. I didn't like anything I bought and consumed I felt like crap after I ate that crap. I hope this review help others avoid this place. Or perhaps I can find the real manager.

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews, I have been eating here for over 20 years. I have never had diarrhea, nor have I ever had problems with enjoying myself. I have always been served by the same waitress, who works very hard by the way. I have brought numerous friends to the restaurant, they have always come back. They have never suffered from diarrhea neither. They don't complain about the environment it's just a little outdated! However it's not the environment that count, it's the food and the customer service.

I enjoy this meal. It is very good and is always quick to get home. I am a customer for three years. I love using the Delivery on weekends and very cheap:)

I don't know about the actual restaurant as we had our meal delivered. For 2 people we spent about $40.00 which isn't bad. Typical Chinese food, nothing to write home about but good enough for a quick Chinese fix. The Mei fun was good, better with siracha sauce. I read a bunch of different reviews however, I would order from here again. Overall the food was decent, and the delivery guy was very polite.

ok havent had the food yet but just called for delivery & they wont deliver till after 4:30. Boooo!!! And their delivery minimum is $15 which seems kinda high for their prices being so cheap. I was expecting $10. On top of that they also have a delivery fee which is normal but it means i have to get a ridiculous amount of food for one person. I guess Chinese makes great left overs :) I'll update this after I eventually get to order from here, cus everyone seems to be raving about it. But so far not impressed with the customer service on the phone. urbanspoon.com/u/menu/15…

Tonight we ordered from Susi Lai. It was last minute and needed a quick delivery. The order was taken quickly the food was delivered in about 45 minutes which is very fair and the portions were very good. The only thing I can say about the food is that it is average at best. We had soup, egg rolls, crab rangoon, chicken lo mein, and some egg rolls. The portions are above average but the food was fairly bland. The pricing was a tad bit high but ok for last minute. I would order again out of necessity but wouldn't go out of my way to stop in and dine. On another occasion about 4 months ago we took out and the wait was very fair but the establishment and especially the bathroom were in huge need of upgrades. The service was very fair.

Presented their discount at check out and it was not accepted. Excuse cashier does not know the code to apply the discount. Was also advised that no one else was available who knows the code. Take it or leave it was the attitude.

TERRIBLE!!!!! the staff is very friendly but they need to watch who they hire. The driver that delivered my meal an hour and 5 minutes later asked me why am not giving him a tip and I explained my meal took way too long. He screamed at me and then said I hope you choke on your food. Never has this happened to me.

I give it really 1.5..... Idk how I feel about this place good food but a little grossed out by the dirty place, first time I tried the food it was on delivery, pretty good but second time I went in I went right back out I can't believe I are from there it looks filthy!!!

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself. I must enjoy the pain. In a desperate fit for Chinese food I recently went back to Susie Lai. If this experience didn't solidify my original thoughts I don't know what will. I ordered General Tsos chicken. When I got home after the first bite I knew it wasn't what I ordered. I looked at my receipt and they had given me General Changs Chicken. WTF is that??? It was abysmal to my taste buds, the egg roll was overcooked, and the lo mein was too saucy. That's it. I'm really done with this place now.

This place is a great stand by Chinese restaurant. Been coming here over 20 years. The food is always good. The portions are plentiful. The decor is still from the 60's when it was built. Prices are very reasonable.

This place is grrrreat! I've been going there for years and it's never disappoint me. The portions are very large and for the price, it is not bad at all. Good quality good and can never go wrong with their egg rolls! Love their take out.

i agree with gina, i always go to this for chinese in my area. their delivery is fairly quick, it's good for lunch and remains tasty for dinner. i love their ribs and their shrimp fried rice. none of those mini shrimp! good stuff!

The rating is for the food because the restaurant needs some interior design work. But, forget the lines in PF Chang's & get some take-out from here, it's good. I get the Mongolian Beef often; I've had the Thai plate once but wasn't impressed so stick with the Chinese Food. When you see people with money coming into this place to get take-out you know it's probably good.

Went here for some take on a Friday after working overtime. I just had 2 simple basics: Special fried rice and mixed wonton/egg drop soup. The small fried rice container was overflowing with rice and meat, which was good, but I wasn't really impressed with the taste. I had to use more soy sauce packets than usual to "doctor up" the taste. The soup was just okay, as well and a bit on the salty side. I mean, it was okay and it did cure my chinese food craving, but I think I'm just gonna stick to Kings Chef in North Miami. EVERYTHING they make is DELICIOUS! I'm sorry, King Chef! Lavi's been a bad girl and I'll never cheat on you again! Please forgive me!

Susie Lai's isn't much different from your everyday local Americanized-Chinese take out. I was at a friends house starving, so I searched on Yelp and found this place to be the closest 'Chinese' in the perimeter. I ordered steamed vegetables with chicken and brown rice. The food came quick, and prompt. The food was pretty good, but what inspired this review was the portions - HUGE. If you're in the area, you should check it out.

Flavorful fried rice and their food is not too greasy either. I would recommend this place but I must let you know that there is a very stale oder in the dining area.

Pretty good American Chinese. Fast delivery to my job. Large portions. Enjoyed the crab rangoon but my general chang's chicken(general tsaos) could've been better. I prefer a thicker sauced and not so gummy breading, but all in all a good lunch!

i have been coming back to this place for the last 7 years, and the chinese food over here is really fresh, you will not find any other chinese restaurant who will serve you tastier ingredients and the food is just made to order... the restaurant is really old inside it could use a make over, but i always called in advance so they can have my order ready for pick up so i doesn't bother me how it look inside.. this is the only chinese place where i will be eating... just give them a try and you will know why Huge portions also, and good prices, service is not that great but the food is awasome!

of all the take out Chinese restaurants in the area, I keep going back to Susie Lai and have been satisfying the occasional lo mein cravings here for years. The Schzuan Combo is really good and is always on our order. Lots of meat, shrimp and scallops and tons of veggies. The ribs are pretty good too. One order of the combo feeds two grown ups and there is always leftovers for my lunch the next day. Only once have I not been happy with them when the fried rice was scorched. It helps that I can call ahead with my order and stop and pick up as it is on my way home. You can also eat in but I've rarely seen the dining room full and usually the diners are older people from all the over 55 condos nearby.

We always go for take out so I can not review the inside part but we like this place and order frequently from there. The barbecue pork is really good and special fried rice comes loaded of goodies !!

For take out Chinese it's pretty good. I've only eaten inside once or twice over the years. Delivery is consistent and the food itself is consistent as well. The portions are over the top if you are ordering A La Carte. I usually order for delivery and the service is good and friendly which earns them points.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
